DRS25A X-CLASS Furuno Radar Antenna (without cable and without radiator). The DRS25A X-CLASS is Furuno 's new 12 kW rotating aerial model. The DRS25A X-CLASS is the new member of the DRS family.

Pushing the boundaries of what is possible with conventional radar technology, the DRS X-Class series marks another step forward for FURUNO. Improved in almost every aspect, it offers improved detection at close range, as well as impressive detection at long range.

The DRS25A X-CLASS continuously maintains the same level of target resolution. Detection performance is improved thanks to a highly sensitive receiver.

Long-range target detection: To clearly detect long-range targets, a long pulse is required. However, conventional (non-professional) radar models of this size cannot normally send a long pulse due to the strong temperature rise. The DRS12A_XCLASS is capable of it! Despite its small size, it can transmit a long pulse of 1.2ms stably like professional radars. It thus allows, during navigation, the detection of birds and storms at long distances.

Sharp resolution without RezBoost™: Rotating aerials have initially sharper resolutions than domes thanks to their narrow beams. If RezBoost™ technology were applied, we might no longer see certain targets that are too small. To ensure visibility of each target, the DRS12A_XCLASS does not have RezBoost™. Utilizing technology previously only available in rugged, commercial-grade radars, the DRS6A X-Class delivers astonishing performance and reliability. For the fisherman, the new “Bird Mode” on NavNet TZtouch 3, NavNet TZtouch 2, NavNet TZtouch gives you incredible bird detection performance.

When browsing, Automatic mode is generally used to eliminate signal noise. Unfortunately, this Auto mode can suppress bird echoes and manual adjustment can be difficult. Bird mode sets the gain to high values to improve echo visibility and bird detection.

For better bird detection, we recommend the use of the XN13A antenna, as well as the use of the Echo Average function in combination with a satellite compass. This is to eliminate background noise as much as possible.
