The DC input power source can be an alternator, charger, wind turbine, solar panel, hydrogenerator, etc.
The load balancers have a negligible voltage drop compared to conventional models with diodes which generate a drop of the order of 0.7VDC.
RCE load distributors can be used with any type of alternator including electronic models, thanks to their special IG terminal (Ignition = priming).
The DC input power source will determine the size of the splitter:
For a 120A alternator, a 150A splitter should be chosen (if a battery is either deeply discharged or shorted, the available input current could flow through the splitter.)
RCE MOSFETs are electronic devices designed to direct charging current to multiple batteries while preventing current from flowing from one battery to another.
